North Bend is a small village located in Hamilton County, Ohio, United States. It sits right along the Ohio River and is part of the larger Greater Cincinnati area. In 2020, about 835 people lived there.

History of North Bend
North Bend was started in 1789. It was first planned to be called Symmes City. However, that name was never used. Instead, it became an official village called North Bend in 1845. The village got its name because the Ohio River makes a big bend to the north right where the village is located.
Famous People from North Bend
North Bend has a special connection to two U.S. Presidents!
- President Benjamin Harrison was born in North Bend.
- His grandfather, President William Henry Harrison, also lived there. His grave is in North Bend at the William Henry Harrison Tomb State Memorial.
- John Scott Harrison, who was the son of one president and the father of another, was born and buried in North Bend.
- Eliza Hendricks, whose husband became the U.S. Vice President, was also born in North Bend.
Early Train Robbery
An interesting event happened in North Bend on May 5, 1865. It was the site of one of the very first times a railway train was held up or robbed.
