Mackey is a small town in Barton Township, Gibson County, Indiana, United States. It is located in the southwestern part of Indiana. In 2020, about 131 people lived there. Mackey is one of the smallest towns in Gibson County. It is also one of the smallest towns in the entire state of Indiana.

History of Mackey
A post office was opened in Mackey in 1885. This means people could send and receive mail there. The town was probably named after O. J. Mackey. He was an important official for the railroad at that time.
