Stadium History
When the stadium first opened in 1997, it was known as the Reebok Stadium. It got this name from the sportswear company Reebok, which was a sponsor of the football club.
In 2014, the sponsorship agreement with Reebok came to an end. A new agreement was then made with an Italian sportswear company called Macron. Because of this new partnership, the stadium was officially renamed the Macron Stadium.
What Happens at the Stadium?
The Macron Stadium is mainly used for football matches. It is where Bolton Wanderers F.C. plays all its home games. The team plays in the Football league championship, which is a professional football league. The stadium also has a sponsor called 188Bet.
