Magdolna "Magda" Gabor (born June 11, 1915 – died June 6, 1997) was an actress and socialite from Hungary who later became an American citizen. She was the oldest sister of famous actresses Zsa Zsa Gabor and Eva Gabor.

Early Life
Magda Gabor was born in Budapest, Hungary, in 1915. Her mother, Jolie Gabor, was a jeweler, and her father, Vilmos Gábor, was a soldier. Both of her parents came from Jewish families.
During World War II, Magda Gabor was in Hungary. She was connected to the Portuguese ambassador, Carlos Sampaio Garrido, who helped many people during the war. After the Nazi occupation of Hungary in 1944, Magda went to Portugal for safety. She arrived in the United States in February 1946. Soon after, she married an American citizen, William Rankin, and stayed in the country.
Personal Life
Magda Gabor was married several times during her life. She did not have any children. One of her husbands was the British actor George Sanders, who had also been married to her sister, Zsa Zsa Gabor.
Death
Magda Gabor passed away on June 6, 1997. This was just five days before her 82nd birthday. Her mother had died two months earlier. Magda died because of kidney failure. She was buried next to her mother at Desert Memorial Park in Cathedral City, California.
