About Maggie Civantos
Maggie Civantos was born in Málaga, Spain. Her mother is a singer, and her father works as a sound technician. She was named after a character called Maggie Gioberti from an old TV show called Falcon Crest.
Maggie's Acting Journey
Maggie started her acting career in TV shows like Escenas de matrimonio and Hospital Central. In 2008, she had a role in the TV series Eva y kolegas. She also played Angélica in the TV series Arrayán.
Her first big role was as Fanny in Bienvenidos al Lolita in 2014. But her most famous role came in 2015 when she played Macarena, the main character in the prison series Vis a vis (also known as Locked Up).
In 2017, Maggie joined the cast of Cable Girls (Las chicas del cable), which was the first Spanish original series made by Netflix. She acted alongside other talented actresses like Blanca Suárez.
She later returned to her role as Macarena in a spin-off series called Vis a vis: El oasis, where she starred with Najwa Nimri. A spin-off is a new show that comes from an older, popular show, often focusing on one of its characters. Maggie also appeared in the series Malaka.
Besides acting, Maggie also started her own production company called Bastardas Films. This company helped make the film Stories. As of May 2025, she was working on her first movie as a director, called El retorno de Júpiter, which she also wrote and produced.
