Mahmood Rahman (Urdu: محمود الرحمن; born August 22, 1982) is a talented Pakistani musician. He is best known as a guitarist and was a member of the rock band Overload. He has worked with many famous artists in Pakistan.

Mahmood Rahman was born in Lahore, Pakistan. His father, Asad Rahman, was a journalist and worked to protect human rights. His mother, Tanvir Rahman, is an artist and also produces films. Mahmood is married to Meesha Shafi, who is a popular actress and singer. Her mother, Saba Hameed, is also a well-known actress.

Music Career

Starting Out

Mahmood Rahman began his music career in 2003. He started as a guitarist for the famous singer Atif Aslam. He played guitar on Atif Aslam's two very successful albums, Jal Pari and Meri Kahani.

Joining Overload

After working with Atif Aslam, Mahmood joined the rock band Overload. His first and only album with Overload was called Pichal Pairee.

Other Music Projects

Mahmood Rahman has also composed and produced music for films. He worked on the song "Dhol Bajay Ga" for the movie The Reluctant Fundamentalist. He has also collaborated with the band Noori. Currently, he plays music with Meesha Shafi and Ali Azmat.

Mixed Martial Arts

Besides music, Mahmood Rahman is also involved in sports. He is the President of the PAKMMA Fighting Alliance. This is Pakistan's largest and most successful organization for Mixed martial arts (MMA). PAKMMA helps new fighters in Pakistan. It also provides exciting live shows for fans. The organization helps Pakistani fighters compete on bigger stages, like ONE FC, which is a very large MMA promotion in Asia.
