Majandra Delfino (born Maria Alejandra Delfino on February 20, 1981) is an American actress and singer. She is famous for playing Maria DeLuca in the popular TV show Roswell. She also played Andi on the sitcom Friends with Better Lives.

Early Life

Majandra Delfino was born in Caracas, the capital city of Venezuela. Her father is Italian-Venezuelan and her mother is Cuban. When she was a child, her family lived in both Caracas and Miami, Florida. Later, she moved to Los Angeles as a teenager to pursue her career.

Career in Acting and Music

Delfino has had a successful career as both an actress and a musician. She started acting in the late 1990s and has appeared in many movies and TV shows.

Famous Acting Roles

One of Delfino's first big roles was playing Tina Dimeo in the TV show The Tony Danza Show. Soon after, she landed her most famous role as Maria DeLuca in the science fiction series Roswell, which ran from 1999 to 2002.

She also appeared in the hit movie Traffic and several TV movies like Celeste in the City. In 2011, she starred in the ABC Family show State of Georgia.

An interesting fact is that when she was cast in the TV pilot The Family Trap, she was eight months pregnant. The director had to film her scenes in special ways to hide her pregnancy. A month after her baby was born, she was cast as Dwight Schrute's sister in a special episode of The Office called "The Farm".

Music Career

Besides acting, Delfino is also a talented singer. She sang on several episodes of Roswell. In 2001, she released her first collection of songs, an EP called The Sicks.

In 2007, she released a full album called Tarte on her own record label. She has continued to work on new music throughout her career.

Personal Life

On March 18, 2011, Delfino married actor David Walton. The couple has two children together. Their daughter was born in 2012, and their son was born in 2013.
