Makoto Teguramori (手倉森 誠, Teguramori Makoto, born November 14, 1967) is a Japanese professional football manager and former player. He has coached many teams, including the Japan U-23 national team. He was most recently the head coach of Thai League 1 club BG Pathum United.

Playing Career
Makoto Teguramori was born in Gonohe, Aomori, Japan, on November 14, 1967. After finishing high school, he started his football career.
He joined a team called Sumitomo Metal in 1986. This team later became known as Kashima Antlers. In 1987, his team finished second in the 1987 JSL Cup. In 1993, he moved to another team, NEC Yamagata, which later became Montedio Yamagata. He stopped playing football professionally in 1995.
Managerial Career
After he stopped playing, Teguramori began a new career as a coach.
Early Coaching Years
Teguramori started coaching at Montedio Yamagata in 1996. He worked there as an assistant coach until 2000. In 2001, he moved to Oita Trinita. There, he worked as a physical coach and assistant coach until 2003.
Coaching Vegalta Sendai
In 2004, Teguramori joined Vegalta Sendai as a coach. In 2008, he became the main manager for the first time. In 2008, Vegalta Sendai finished third in the J2 League. The next year, in 2009, his team won the championship. This meant they were promoted to the top league, the J1 League.
In 2011, a big earthquake and tsunami happened in Sendai. Despite this, Vegalta Sendai finished fourth in the league. This was their best finish ever at that time. In 2012, they finished second. This allowed them to play in the 2013 AFC Champions League, a major Asian competition. He left Vegalta Sendai at the end of 2013. He wanted to manage the Japan U-23 national team.
Coaching Japan's National Teams
In 2014, Teguramori became the manager for the Japan U-23 national team. He also worked as an assistant coach for the main Japan national team.
In 2016, he led the Japan U-23 team to win the 2016 AFC U-23 Championship in Qatar. This was the first time Japan had won this tournament. Winning this championship meant the team qualified for the 2016 Summer Olympics. At the Olympics, his team played well, earning four points in their group. However, they finished third in their group. This was not enough to move on to the next round.
Coaching Other Clubs
- V-Varen Nagasaki: In February 2019, Teguramori became the manager for J2 League club V-Varen Nagasaki.
- Return to Vegalta Sendai: In February 2021, he returned to manage J1 League club Vegalta Sendai.
- BG Pathum United: On January 27, 2022, BG Pathum United in Thailand hired him as their head coach. He helped the club win the 2022 Thailand Champions Cup. He left the club in October of that year.
- Chonburi: On May 13, 2023, Thai League 1 club Chonburi hired him as their head coach.
- Second Time at BG Pathum United: On December 25, 2023, he returned to BG Pathum United. His goal was to help them win more domestic competitions. On June 16, 2024, Teguramori led BG Pathum United to win their first ever Thai League Cup title. They won 1–0 against Muangthong United in the final. He left the club again on October 8, 2024.
