Malakoff, also known as Malakoff Diggings, was once a small town in Nevada County, California. It was located high up in the mountains, about 3,051 feet (930 meters) above sea level. You can find Malakoff about 1.25 miles (2.01 kilometers) west of another place called North Bloomfield.
