Malcolm Graham (born January 14, 1963) is an American politician. He is a member of the Democratic Party. He has served on the Charlotte City Council and in the North Carolina Senate.

Early Life and Education
Malcolm Graham was born in Charleston, South Carolina. He moved to Charlotte in 1981. He attended Johnson C. Smith University on a tennis scholarship. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree there.
After college, Graham became a business consultant. He also held leadership roles at big companies. These included Bank of America and Time-Warner Cable.

Serving on the Charlotte City Council
Graham first became a member of the Charlotte City Council in 1999. He represented the city's 4th District. He served on the City Council until 2004.
In 2019, Graham ran for the Charlotte City Council again. He won the election for the District 2 seat. He was sworn into office on December 2, 2019.
Representing North Carolina in the Senate
In 2004, Graham was elected to the North Carolina Senate. He represented District 40. This district covers parts of Mecklenburg County. He served as a state senator for ten years. His term ended in 2015.
After his time in the State Senate, he ran for the United States House of Representatives. However, he was not successful in that election.

Malcolm Graham is married to Kim Graham. They have two daughters named Cortney and Nicole.
