The Malgaru were one of many Aboriginal Australian groups. They had their own unique culture and traditions. Like all Aboriginal peoples, they had a deep connection to their land.
Where Did the Malgaru Live?
The Malgaru people lived in a large area of land. This area was about 11,655 square kilometres (4,500 square miles). It was located east of the Kennedy Range. Their land also included the hills east of the Lyons River.
Their traditional country stretched north from Gascoyne Junction. It went all the way to the area near Minnie Creek. They also lived in a place called Eudamullah. The southern part of their land was close to Fossil Hill.
Malgaru's Neighbours
The Malgaru shared their borders with other Aboriginal groups. To the west of the Kennedy Range, their neighbours were the Maia. In the northeast, they lived near the Ninanu people. Directly to their east were the Watjarri people. These groups often had connections and shared knowledge.
