SM Aslam Talukder (born April 14, 1964 – died February 17, 2008), known by his stage name Manna, was a very successful Bangladeshi movie actor and producer. During his 24-year career, he starred in more than 300 movies! He was often called the "Great Hero" (Mahanayak) and "Megastar" of the Dhaliwood film industry. Manna was one of the most popular actors in Dhaliwood for a long time, following the famous actor Raj-Razzak. He won many awards, including a National Film Award, three Meril Prothom Alo Awards, and five Bachsas Awards. He won the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Actor for his role in the movie Bir Soinik (2003).

Early Life and Start in Movies
Manna was born on April 14, 1964, in a place called Elenga in Tangail District. He started his acting journey in 1984. He was discovered through a special talent search program by the National Film Development Corporation of Bangladesh. This was the beginning of his amazing career!
Becoming a Star
Manna was a very important person in the Bangladeshi film industry. He was the General Secretary of the Bangladesh Film Actors Association. In this role, he worked hard to fight against bad content in the Dhallywood film industry.
One of his first movies that made people really notice him was Danga (1992). After that, he starred in many successful films. Some of his most popular movies include Traash, Shanto Keno Mastan, and Amma Jaan.
The movie Ammajan, directed by Kazi Hayat and released in 1999, was a huge hit. It helped Manna become a permanent and beloved star in Bangladeshi movie history. He often acted in about 10 movies every year! Some of his other successful movies were Saajghor, Khomotar Garom, Moner Shathey Juddho, Machine-man, Ulta Palta 69, and Shotru Shotru Khela.
Manna was especially known as an action hero. He worked with famous action directors like Kazi Hayat (on 20 movies) and Montazur Rahman Akbar (on 22 movies).
Awards and Recognition
Manna received many important awards for his acting. He was nominated for several National Film Awards and won one for Best Actor.
He also won the Meril Prothom Alo Award three times and was nominated eight times. For the Bachsas Awards, he won Best Actor four times. He even received a special award after his death for his big contributions to the film industry.
