Manolo Gabbiadini, born on November 26, 1991, is a professional football player from Italy. He plays as a striker for the UAE Pro League club Al-Nasr and also for the Italian national team.
Gabbiadini started his football journey with Atalanta and made his first appearance in Italy's top league, Serie A, in 2010. He then played for Cittadella for a year before returning to Atalanta. Later, he moved to Bologna in 2012.
The next year, Gabbiadini joined Sampdoria, where he scored his highest number of goals in the Italian top league. In 2015, he was transferred to Napoli. After that, he moved to Southampton in England in January 2017. Gabbiadini returned to Sampdoria in 2019.
He has also played for Italy's national teams, including the under-20 and under-21 squads. He made his first appearance for the senior Italian national team in 2012.

Manolo Gabbiadini's Club Career
Manolo Gabbiadini started his football career in the youth teams of Bolgare and then Atalanta. He was loaned to other clubs like Palazzolo and Montichiari before coming back to Atalanta.
Starting at Atalanta
Gabbiadini made his first appearance in Serie A for Atalanta on March 14, 2010. This was in a league match against Parma. He came into the game as a substitute in the 79th minute. After this first game, he played one more time for the club during the 2009–10 Serie A season.
Loan to Cittadella
On July 9, 2010, Gabbiadini joined Serie B team Cittadella on a loan deal. During the 2010–11 Serie B season, he scored five goals in 27 games.
Back to Atalanta
Gabbiadini returned to Atalanta on June 21, 2011. For the 2011–12 Serie A season, he became a regular player for the first team. He played in 25 league matches and scored his first Serie A goal on March 25, 2012. This goal helped Atalanta win 2–0 against Bologna. He also scored a goal in his only 2011–12 Coppa Italia game.
Time at Juventus
On August 24, 2012, Juventus officially signed Gabbiadini. However, he was immediately loaned out to another team.
Loan to Bologna
Right after joining Juventus, Gabbiadini was loaned to Bologna for the whole season. He had a good year at Bologna, scoring seven goals in 31 games during the 2012–13 Serie A season.
Playing for Sampdoria
On July 9, 2013, Sampdoria bought half of Gabbiadini's player rights from Atalanta. He played for the club in Liguria for the 2013–14 Serie A season. In his first year with Sampdoria, he scored ten goals in 35 games, which was his personal best at the time.
Moving to Napoli

In January 2015, Gabbiadini joined Napoli. He made his first appearance for Napoli on January 11 against his old team, Juventus. His first goal for Napoli came on February 1, which was the winning goal in a 2–1 victory against Chievo. On March 19, 2016, he scored two goals in the first half of a big 6–0 win over Bologna.
Time at Southampton
On January 31, 2017, Gabbiadini signed a four-and-a-half-year contract with Southampton in England. On February 4, 2017, he scored his first goal for the club in his very first game in the Premier League. This was in a 1–3 loss to West Ham.
He scored twice in his second game for Southampton on February 11, helping them win 4–0 against Sunderland. He scored two more goals in his next match, which was the 2017 EFL Cup Final on February 26. Southampton lost 3–2 to Manchester United, but Gabbiadini's goals brought his total to five in his first three games for the club. With a goal in his next game on March 4, Gabbiadini became the first Southampton player to score in each of his first four matches for the club. His great performances in February earned him the Premier League's PFA Fans’ Player of the Month award.
Returning to Sampdoria
On January 11, 2019, Gabbiadini went back to Italy and signed with his former club, Sampdoria.

On July 29, 2023, Gabbiadini signed with the Emirati club Al-Nasr.

Manolo Gabbiadini has played for Italy at different levels, from youth teams to the senior national team.
Youth National Teams
On November 17, 2010, Gabbiadini made his first appearance for the Italian under-21 squad in a friendly game against Turkey. He scored his first goal for the U21 team on March 29, 2011, in a friendly game against Germany. On October 6, 2011, he scored three goals in a game against Liechtenstein, which Italy won 7–2. He also played in the 2013 UEFA European Under-21 Championships in Israel, scoring two goals against the host team, Israel. Italy reached the final of that tournament but lost to Spain.
Senior National Team
On August 15, 2012, Gabbiadini made his first appearance for the Italian senior team. He played in the second half of a friendly match against England, which Italy lost 2–1. On November 17, 2015, he scored his first goal for Italy in a friendly home game against Romania. He came off the bench and scored in the 66th minute, helping Italy to a 2–2 draw.
How Manolo Gabbiadini Plays Football
Gabbiadini is known as a very skilled and versatile forward. He can play in many attacking positions, like a main striker, a supporting forward, an attacking midfielder, or a winger on either side of the field. He often plays on the right side, where he can cut inside and shoot with his strong left foot.
