Manuel Pla facts for kids
Manuel Pla i Agustí (around 1725-1766) was a talented composer, oboist, and harpsichordist from Catalonia, Spain. He worked at the royal court in Madrid. Manuel was the middle child of three brothers, all of whom were also composers. His older brother, Joan Baptista Pla (1720-1773), became a well-known oboist in Lisbon. His younger brother was Josep (around 1728-1762).

Manuel Pla wrote many different kinds of music. He was known for his beautiful compositions, especially for the voice and instruments.

- A piece called "Salve Regina". This was recorded by singers Raquel Andueza and Pau Bordás, with the Orquesta Barroca Catalana.
- "Tonos divinos" (Divine Tones). These are songs with religious themes, like "Regocíjese el alma venturosa" (Let the blessed soul rejoice).
