Manuel Summers Rivero (born March 26, 1935 – died June 12, 1993) was a talented Spanish film director, screenwriter, and actor. He was known for making movies that often mixed humor with serious topics. Manuel Summers created many films that were popular in Spain during his career.

Manuel Summers was born in Seville, a city in Spain. Later, he was made an "adoptive son" of Lepe, a town in Huelva. His family originally came from England.

He was the father of David Summers Rodríguez, who is the lead singer of the famous pop group Hombres G. Manuel also had a daughter named Cheyenne Summers, who is a Spanish voice actress. His brother, Guillermo Summers, was a journalist. Manuel Summers passed away in Sevilla on June 12, 1993, at the age of 58.
