María Alejandra Muñoz Seminario, born on December 18, 1979, is an important lawyer and politician from Ecuador. She served as the 51st Vice President of Ecuador from July 2020 to May 2021. She was the third woman to hold this high position in Ecuador's history.

Becoming Vice President
On July 17, 2020, María Alejandra Muñoz was chosen to be the Vice President by the National Assembly. This is like the parliament or congress in other countries. She received 75 votes from the members of the Assembly.
Swearing-in Ceremony
