Marcelino Iglesias Ricou (born on April 16, 1951) is a Spanish politician. He is a member of the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party. He is best known for being the leader of the Government of Aragon for many years.

Marcelino Iglesias: A Leader for Aragon
Marcelino Iglesias Ricou was born in a town called Bonansa in Huesca, Spain. He grew up and became interested in helping his community. This led him to a career in politics.
Becoming President of Aragon
Marcelino Iglesias became the President of the Government of Aragon in 1999. Aragon is one of the regions in Spain. As president, he was like the main leader or governor of that region. He worked to make life better for the people living there.
He served as president for 12 years. His time in office lasted from August 2, 1999, until July 13, 2011. During these years, he made many decisions for the region.
His Role in the Socialist Party
Besides being the President of Aragon, Marcelino Iglesias also held an important role in his political party. He was the Secretary-General of the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party in Aragon. This means he was the main leader of the party in that region. He held this position from December 16, 2000, to March 31, 2012.
After his time as president, Luisa Fernanda Rudi took over the role. Later, Javier Lambán became the new Secretary-General of the party in Aragon.
Marcelino Iglesias has been an important figure in Spanish politics. He dedicated many years to public service in Aragon.
