Marco Luiz Brito (born August 4, 1977) is a retired Brazilian footballer. He was a forward, which means he played in the attacking part of the team, trying to score goals. Marco Brito played for many different clubs throughout his career, both in Brazil and in other countries like Japan and Cyprus.

Playing Career

Marco Brito began his football journey in the youth teams of Fluminense, a well-known club in Brazil. He played there from 1995 to 1997. After his youth training, he joined Fluminense's main team in 1997. He played for them until 2001, showing his skills as a forward.

Playing in Japan and Cyprus

In 2001, Marco Brito decided to play football outside of Brazil. He joined Yokohama F. Marinos, a team in Japan. During his time there, he played 10 league games and scored 8 goals. He also played in cup matches, scoring 2 goals in 5 League Cup games. This was an important step in his career, playing in a different country.

After his time in Japan, Marco Brito returned to Brazil in 2002 and played for Fluminense again. In 2004, he went to play in Cyprus for APOEL. Playing in different countries helped him gain experience and adapt to new styles of football.

Back in Brazil

Throughout his career, Marco Brito played for many different clubs in Brazil. Besides Fluminense, he also played for teams like Coritiba in 2003 and Vasco da Gama in 2005. He also played for Santa Cruz and Ponte Preta in 2006.

Later in his career, he joined América-RJ from 2007 to 2008. He continued to play for various Brazilian clubs, including CSA in 2009 and Morrinhos in 2010. His last known club was São Gonçalo EC in 2012 before he retired.

After Retirement

After finishing his playing career, Marco Brito also spent some time as an assistant manager. In 2013, he worked as an assistant for Itaboraí Profute. This shows his continued involvement in football even after he stopped playing professionally.
