Marcus & Martinus, also known as M&M, are a pop music duo from Norway. They are identical twin brothers, Marcus and Martinus Gunnarsen, born on February 21, 2002. They started their music journey in 2012 and have released four studio albums: Hei, Together, Moments, and Unforgettable.
The duo first became famous after winning a music competition called Melodi Grand Prix Junior in 2012. Since then, they have won many awards, including the Spellemannprisen in 2017. In 2022, they won Masked Singer Sverige. They also competed in Melodifestivalen in 2023 and 2024. They won Melodifestivalen in 2024 and represented the host nation Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Malmö with their song "Unforgettable".

About Marcus and Martinus
Marcus and Martinus were born in Elverum, Norway. Marcus is fifteen minutes older than Martinus. They are the middle children of Kjell-Erik and Gerd Anne Gunnarsen. They have an older half-sister and a younger sister.
Their Music Journey
Starting Out: Melodi Grand Prix Junior in 2012
In 2012, Marcus and Martinus competed in the eleventh season of Melodi Grand Prix Junior. This competition was held in Oslo, Norway. They won the contest with their song "To dråper vann," which means "Two Drops of Water" in English. Their winning song reached number eight on the Norwegian Singles Chart.
Albums Hei and Together (2015–2016)
On February 23, 2015, Marcus & Martinus released their first studio album, Hei (meaning Hi). This album became very popular and reached number one on the Norwegian Albums Chart. It stayed on the charts for a long time. The album included the song "Plystre på deg" ("Whistle at You").
Later in 2015, they released the single "Elektrisk" ("Electric"), which featured the artist Katastrofe. This song became a big hit, reaching number three on the Norwegian Singles Chart. They also released "Ei som deg" ("One Like You") with Innertier.
In May 2016, they released "Girls" with Madcon. This song went straight to number one in Norway. They followed up with singles like "Heartbeat," "I Don't Wanna Fall in Love," "Light It Up," and "One More Second."
In November 2016, they released their first English album, Together. This album included their popular songs "Girls," "Heartbeat," "Light It Up," and "One More Second." Together quickly reached number one in Norway and Sweden. They also performed at the 2016 Nobel Peace Prize Concert.
The Moments Album (2017–2021)
In 2017, Marcus and Martinus were guest performers at the Finnish selection show for the Eurovision Song Contest 2017. They also announced the jury points for Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest that year.
On May 21, 2017, they released the song "Like It Like It" with American rapper Silentó. They also released "First Kiss" and "Dance with You." In July, they performed a special song called "On This Day" for Swedish Crown Princess Victoria's 40th birthday.
Their third album, Moments, was released on November 17, 2017. It included singles like "Make You Believe in Love" and "One Flight Away."
In 2019, they released an EP called Soon. They continued to release new music, including "Love You Less" and "It's Christmas Time" in 2020. In 2021, they were featured on the song "Miserabel" and released "Belinda" with Latin artist Alex Rose. They also released "Feel" with Bruno Martini.
Winning The Masked Singer and Eurovision Journey (2022–Present)
In the spring of 2022, Marcus & Martinus won the Swedish version of Masked Singer, becoming the first duo to win the show. They also released the single "When All The Lights Go Out."
In 2023, they competed in Melodifestivalen 2023 with their song "Air". They finished in second place. In 2024, they returned to Melodifestivalen 2024 with the song "Unforgettable". On March 9, 2024, they won the competition! This meant they got to represent the host nation Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Malmö. In the Eurovision final, they placed ninth. After Eurovision, they released their album Unforgettable on May 31, 2024. They have also released new singles like "Another Life" with VIZE in October 2024 and "Wonder" in January 2025.
