From 1787 to 1789, Maria worked as an organist. She was also a choral director (someone who leads a choir). She worked with the Sisters of St. Bartholomew in Ancona. After this, she went back to Bologna. There, she continued to study music and improve her skills.

Career and Recognition

In 1793, Maria Brizzi married Luigi Giorgi. Together, they opened a "salon." A salon was a special place where people gathered. They would meet to enjoy music, art, and conversation. Maria kept performing as a pianist all across Europe.

Many famous composers admired her musical talent. These included Joseph Haydn, Muzio Clementi, and Leopold Koželuch. They even wrote music especially for her! This shows how respected she was as a performer.

Maria also composed her own music. In 1807, a military march she wrote was played for Napoleon. This happened when he visited Bologna. She also taught music to others. Maria was a member of the Accademia Filarmonica di Bologna. This was a famous music academy in Bologna.
