Marian Cannon Schlesinger (born September 13, 1912 – died October 14, 2017) was a talented American artist and writer. She wrote two books about her life, called memoirs. She also wrote and drew pictures for five children's books. Marian was a painter too, creating beautiful landscapes and portraits. She even traveled to China to learn more about art.

Marian grew up in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She went to Radcliffe College for her education. Her mother, Cornelia James Cannon, was a writer who worked to make society better for women. Her father, Walter Bradford Cannon, was a professor at Harvard University.
Marian was married to Arthur M. Schlesinger Jr. for some years. Their daughter, Christina Schlesinger, also became a painter. Marian lived a long life and passed away on October 14, 2017, in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
