Marian Penner Bancroft (born 1947) is a Canadian artist and photographer. She lives and works in Vancouver, British Columbia. She is also a professor at the Emily Carr University of Art and Design. She has taught there since 1981.

Marian Penner Bancroft was born in Chilliwack, British Columbia. She studied art at several places. These include the University of British Columbia and the Vancouver School of Art. This school is now called Emily Carr University of Art and Design. She also studied at Ryerson Polytechnical Institute in Toronto.

Her art has been shown in many places. This includes the Vancouver Art Gallery. Her work has also been shown in Paris, France. Besides photography, she uses other art forms. These include text, sound, drawing, and sculpture. More recently, she has used video in her art.

In 2019, Marian was in a film called Is There a Picture. This movie talks about photographers. It shows how they create their art in Vancouver.
