Marine Vacth was born in Paris, France, on April 9, 1991. She spent her childhood in Maisons-Alfort, a suburb of Paris. Her father worked as a truck driver, and her mother was an accountant. Marine also practiced judo when she was younger, reaching the brown belt level.
Starting as a Model
When Marine was fifteen years old, she was discovered by a talent scout in a clothing store. This led her to begin a career in modeling. She became the face for famous brands like Yves Saint Laurent perfume, the jewelry company Chaumet, and the fashion brand Chloé. Even though she worked as a model for several years, Marine later felt that fashion was not her main passion.
Transition to Acting
Marine started her acting career when she was twenty years old. Her first role was as "Tessa" in the film My Piece of the Pie, directed by Cédric Klapisch. In 2011, she also took over from supermodel Kate Moss as the face for Yves Saint Laurent perfumes.
