Marino Perani (born October 27, 1939 – died October 18, 2017) was a famous Italian football player and manager. He played as a forward, often on the wing. This means he played closer to the opponent's goal, usually on the side of the field. He was known for his speed and ability to cross the ball. Perani spent most of his playing career with Bologna, where he became a club legend.

Playing for Clubs
Marino Perani was born in Ponte Nossa, Italy. He started his football journey in the youth system of Atalanta. Later, he joined the senior team. Perani played for several Italian teams. These included Bologna and Padova.
He joined Bologna in 1958. This is where he spent most of his career. He played for Bologna for 15 seasons. He stayed with the team until the 1973–74 season. He had a short break away during the 1959–60 season.
Perani first found it hard to get a starting spot at Bologna. There were many other good players. But he soon became a key player. He took over the role on the right side of the field. He worked well with another winger, Ezio Pascutti.
Together, they helped Bologna win the Serie A title. This was during the 1963–64 season. Perani even helped set up a goal in a big game. This was a 2–0 win against Inter. This win helped Bologna claim the league title.
In total, he played 322 games for Bologna. He scored 70 goals for the club. He also won two Coppa Italia titles with Bologna. Perani finished his playing career in 1975. He played for Toronto Metros-Croatia in North America. Overall, he scored over 80 goals in his career.
