Winning Trophies
Pascutti formed a strong team with another winger named Marino Perani. Together, they helped Bologna win the Mitropa Cup in 1961. This was an important European club competition at the time. They also helped Bologna win its seventh and last Serie A championship in the 1963–64 season.
Goal-scoring Record
In 1962, Pascutti set a record by scoring in 10 games in a row at the start of a Serie A season. This record stood for 32 years. It was later broken by Gabriel Batistuta in the 1994–95 season.
Playing for Italy
Pascutti played for the Italy national football team from 1958 to 1967. He played in 17 international matches and scored 8 goals. He represented Italy in two FIFA World Cups: the 1962 World Cup and the 1966 World Cup.
His Playing Style
Ezio Pascutti was a fast, strong, and skilled forward. He could play as a main striker or as a winger. This was because he was good at both scoring goals and helping his teammates score.
A Club Legend
Even though he wasn't known for fancy dribbling, Pascutti became a favorite among Bologna fans. This was thanks to his amazing ability to score goals, especially inside the penalty area. He was very accurate with his shots, using both his feet and his head. He was also good at heading the ball, even though he wasn't very tall. He knew how to get into the right position to score from crosses.
Challenges
Despite his talent, Pascutti often had problems with leg injuries during his career.
