Mario Pestano García is a famous Spanish athlete who was born on April 8, 1978, in Tenerife. He is known for being a fantastic discus thrower. A discus thrower is an athlete who throws a heavy disc, called a discus, as far as they can. It takes a lot of strength and skill! Mario Pestano retired from the sport after a long and successful career. His best throw ever was 69.50 meters, which he achieved on July 27, 2008, in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

Mario won several medals during his career. He earned bronze medals at the 1999 European Athletics U23 Championships in Sweden, the 2000 Ibero-American Championships in Athletics in Brazil, and the 2001 Mediterranean Games in Tunisia.
He also won silver at the 2010 European Cup Winter Throwing in France.
