María Luisa Paredes Bartolomé (born April 3, 1946 – died December 17, 2024), known as Marisa Paredes, was a very famous Spanish actress. She had a long and successful career, acting in over 75 movies, 80 TV shows, and 15 plays. She worked with some of Europe's most important directors and won many awards for her acting.

Life and Career Highlights

Marisa Paredes started her acting journey in 1960 with the film Police Calling 091. After this movie, she became a popular teen idol across Spain. In 1961, she began acting in plays, including Hamlet.

Working with Pedro Almodóvar

Marisa Paredes became famous around the world thanks to director Pedro Almodóvar. She starred in many of his films, which led people in Spain to call her "una chica Almodóvar" (an Almodóvar girl). This means she was one of his favorite actresses.
