Major Mark Beretta OAM is a well-known Australian journalist. He is famous for being a sports reporter on the TV show Sunrise. Mark also serves as an officer in the Australian Army Reserve in public relations. He was born on June 16, 1966, in Geelong, Australia.
In 2008, Mark started presenting sports news on Seven Early News. This show aired before Sunrise, where he continues to be the sports presenter today. He also co-hosted a show called Rexona Australia's Greatest Athlete in 2010 and 2011.

Mark Beretta has had a long career in television. He first co-hosted Sunrise from 2000 to 2002. After that, he presented sports news for Seven News Sydney until 2004. Then, he returned to Sunrise as the main sports presenter.

Mark has covered many big sports events around the world. He reported on the Olympic Games in 1998 (Nagano, Japan), 2000 (Sydney, Australia), and 2002 (Salt Lake City, USA). He also covered the Commonwealth Games in Manchester, England, in 2002.

In October 2022, Mark released his second book. It is called Mark Beretta's Greatest Moments in Australian Sport. He wrote this book with Neil Cardigan.

Mark Beretta has two children. He is also very involved in charity work.
Tour de Cure
Since 2010, Mark has regularly taken part in the Tour de Cure bike ride. This ride covers 1,400 km (870 mi) from Sydney to Mooloolaba over ten days. The goal of the ride is to raise money to help find a cure for cancer. In 2011, Mark was asked to join the board of Tour de Cure.
Australian Army Reserves
In 2019, Mark joined the Australian Army Reserve. He serves as an officer in public relations.
