Marsiling MRT Station facts for kids
Marsiling Station (NS8) is an important MRT station in Singapore. It's part of the North South MRT Line, which helps people travel across the island. This station first opened its doors on 10 February 1996. Interestingly, when it was first planned, it was known by a different name: Woodlands West Station.
Where is Marsiling Station Located?
Marsiling Station is a key stop on the North South Line. It connects you to other parts of Singapore.
- If you're heading south, the station before Marsiling is Kranji (NS7).
- If you're traveling north, the next station after Marsiling is Woodlands (NS9/TE2). Woodlands Station is also a transfer point to the Thomson-East Coast Line!
Marsiling Station's Old Code
Did you know that MRT stations often have special codes? These codes help identify each station easily. From 1996 to 2001, Marsiling Station had the code N18. Later, its code was updated to NS8, which is what we use today.
