Martijn's Musical Journey
Martijn Spierenburg has written and arranged music for many different artists. His work includes music for international singers, TV shows, and even video games. He joined Within Temptation in 2001. This was shortly after the band released their second album, Mother Earth.
His Role in Within Temptation
During his time with Within Temptation, Martijn helped create many popular songs. He co-wrote songs for several of their albums. Some of these songs include "Angels" and "Memories." Other songs he helped write are "Jillian (I'd Give My Heart)", "Our Solemn Hour", "The Cross", "Sinéad", and "Forgiven". When he performed on stage, Martijn used ROLAND keyboards.
Martijn also played a big part in the band's orchestral sound. He wrote the orchestral arrangements for their music. This means he created the parts for violins, cellos, and other orchestra instruments. He also oversaw the orchestra when the band recorded their albums. This made sure the orchestral parts sounded perfect.
