Martin is located in the northern part of Keith County. It sits right on the north side of Lake McConaughy. This lake is a large body of water formed by the North Platte River, and Martin is just north of Kingsley Dam, which controls the lake's water.
Getting Around Martin
The community is at a crossroads where two main roads meet: Nebraska Highway 61 and Nebraska Highway 92.
- Highway 61 goes south about 12 miles to Ogallala, Nebraska, which is the main town and county seat of Keith County. If you go north on Highway 61, you'll reach Arthur, Nebraska, about 28 miles away.
- Highway 92 goes west along the north side of Lake McConaughy for about 25 miles, leading to Lewellen, Nebraska.
