Martina Guiggi, born on May 1, 1984, is a talented Italian volleyball player. She plays as a middle blocker, which is a key position in volleyball. Middle blockers are usually tall players who try to block the opponent's attacks at the net. Martina has represented Italy in many important competitions. These include the Olympic Games in 2008 and 2016. She also helped her team win the European Volleyball Championship and the FIVB Women's World Cup, both in 2007.

Martina Guiggi's Volleyball Journey
Martina Guiggi joined the Italian national volleyball team in 2002. By 2006, her skills were recognized when she was named the Best Blocker of the European Cup. This award shows how good she was at stopping the other team's attacks.
She also played in the 2013 Club World Championship. She played for the team Guangdong Evergrande. Her team won the bronze medal in this championship. They beat another strong team, Voléro Zürich, with a score of 3–1. Besides playing indoor volleyball, Martina also competed in beach volleyball at a national level.
