Marty Ingels was an American actor, comedian, and writer. He was born Martin Ingerman on March 9, 1936, in New York City. He became famous for his role in the 1960s TV show I'm Dickens, He's Fenster. Marty Ingels also did many voice-overs for cartoons and worked as an agent for other actors. He passed away on October 21, 2015, at the age of 79.

Early life
Marty Ingels grew up in Brooklyn, New York City. His family was Jewish. His uncle, Abraham Beame, was a very important person. He served as the mayor of New York City from 1974 to 1977.
Career
Marty Ingels started his acting career in the early 1960s. He had his own TV show called I'm Dickens, He's Fenster from 1962 to 1963. In this show, he starred alongside John Astin. The series ran for one season with 32 episodes.
He also appeared as a guest star on many other popular TV shows. These included The Dick Van Dyke Show, where he played Sol Pomeroy. He was also in an episode of Bewitched as a character named "Diaper Dan." In 1978, Ingels made a guest appearance on The Love Boat.
Marty Ingels was well-known for his unique, raspy voice. He used it for many voice-over roles in cartoons and commercials. He was the voice of Autocat in the Motormouse and Autocat cartoons. He also voiced Beegle Beagle in The Great Grape Ape Show. Kids might remember him best as the voice of the main character in the Pac-Man animated series. Later in his career, in 2010, he appeared in an episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
Besides TV, Marty Ingels also acted in several films. Some of his movies include Armored Command (1961), Wild and Wonderful (1964), and A Guide for the Married Man (1967). Starting in the 1970s, Ingels spent most of his time working as an agent. He helped actors get deals for celebrity endorsement ads.
Personal life
Marty Ingels was married two times. His first marriage was to Jean Marie Frassinelli in 1960. They divorced in 1969. Later, on November 13, 1977, he married the famous singer and actress Shirley Jones. Even though they had different personalities, they stayed married until his death in 2015.
Death
Marty Ingels passed away on October 21, 2015. He was 79 years old. He died from a stroke at Tarzana Medical Center in Tarzana, California. He was survived by his wife, Shirley Jones, and his stepsons. After he died, Shirley Jones said that she would miss him and love him very much.
