Marvin Eugene Menzies (born October 15, 1961) is a college basketball coach in America. He is currently the head coach for the men's basketball team at the University of Missouri–Kansas City. He started this job in April 2022.
Before this, he was an associate head coach at Grand Canyon University. He worked there after being a head coach for 12 years. He coached at UNLV for three years. He also spent nine seasons at New Mexico State.

Marvin Menzies' Coaching Journey
Marvin Menzies has had a long career in basketball coaching. He started as an assistant coach at Hamilton High School. Later, he became an assistant at Santa Monica College. He even became the head coach there for one season.
Moving to College Teams
Menzies then moved to coach at bigger colleges. He was an assistant coach at places like Sacramento State and San Diego State. He also coached at USC and UNLV as an assistant.
In 2005, he became an assistant coach at Louisville. This was a big step in his career.
First Head Coaching Role
In 2007, Menzies got his first head coaching job at a four-year college. He became the head coach for the New Mexico State Aggies. He coached there for nine seasons, from 2007 to 2016.
During his time at New Mexico State, his teams were very successful. They won the WAC regular season championship three times. They also won the WAC tournament five times in a row! This helped them get into the NCAA Tournament several times.
Coaching at UNLV
After New Mexico State, Menzies became the head coach at UNLV in 2016. He coached the Runnin' Rebels for three seasons. He helped the team improve during his time there.
Current Role at Kansas City
In 2022, Marvin Menzies became the head coach for the Kansas City Roos. He continues to lead the team and help young players grow.
Education and Background
Marvin Menzies studied at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He earned a bachelor's degree in economics there. Later, he got a master's degree in education from California State University, Sacramento. He is also a member of the Phi Beta Sigma fraternity.
