Mary Killman, born on April 9, 1991, is an American synchronized swimmer. She used to be a race swimmer but switched to synchronized swimming. Mary has won silver medals with her team and in duet competitions at the Pan American Games in 2011 and 2015.

Biography
Early Life and Start in Swimming
Mary Killman was born on April 9, 1991, in Ada, Oklahoma. She grew up in Texas. Mary is also a member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation, a Native American tribe.
She started out as a race swimmer. But when she was 11, she began trying synchronized swimming. By age 15, Mary decided to focus only on synchronized swimming.
Becoming a National Swimmer
Mary competed in youth events throughout the 2000s. In 2007, at just 16 years old, she joined her first National Team.
In 2009, Mary did very well at the United States National Championships. She placed first in the team competition. She also took second in the duet and third in the solo event.
Pan American Games and Olympics
Before the 2011 Pan American Games, Mary teamed up with Mariya Koroleva for the duet competition. At these games in Guadalajara, Mexico, Mary and Mariya won a silver medal in the duet. They also helped the United States team win a silver medal.
This duet team qualified for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. They were the only American synchronized swimmers at those games. This was because the U.S. team did not qualify for the team event.
College and Continued Success
After the 2012 Olympics, Mary joined the Lindenwood University synchronized swimming team. This is one of only six college synchronized swimming programs in the U.S.
Mary has been named the USA Synchro Athlete of the Year four times (2010, 2011, 2012, 2014). She has also won five U.S. senior national solo titles (2010, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016). Plus, she won three U.S. collegiate national solo titles (2013, 2014, 2015).
