Mary Kim Titla was born on November 24, 1960. She is an American publisher and a strong supporter of Native American youth. She is also a journalist and used to be a TV reporter. In 1987, she made history as the first Native American TV journalist in Arizona. She worked for TV stations like KVOA in Tucson and KPNX in Phoenix.
In 2008, she ran for a seat in the U.S. Congress for Arizona. Mary Kim Titla describes herself as a moderate Democrat. She believes that everyone involved in a child's education should work hard. Their goal should be to make sure every student gets a great education in a safe place. She is a member of the San Carlos Apache Tribe.

Education and Career
Mary Kim Titla studied at two different universities. She earned her first degree from the University of Oklahoma. Later, she received her master's degree from Arizona State University. She studied at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
In November 2006, Mary Kim Titla was honored by her journalism school. She was added to the Cronkite School's Alumni Hall of Fame. This special honor recognizes successful former students. Today, she works as the Executive Director of United National Indian Tribal Youth (UNITY). This organization is located in Mesa, Arizona.
