Early Life and Career Beginnings

Mary Pat Gleason was born in Lake City, Minnesota. Her parents were Mary Elizabeth Kane and Harold Clifford Gleason. When she was in high school in St. Paul, she loved acting. She even starred in a play called Once Upon a Mattress.

Her first acting job on screen was in 1982. It was for a TV show called Texas. After that, she appeared in many popular TV series.

A Busy Actress

Mary Pat Gleason was a very busy actress. She appeared in over 50 movies! Some of her well-known films include 13 Going on 30, A Cinderella Story, and Bruce Almighty.
