Mary Pat Gleason was born in Lake City, Minnesota. Her parents were Mary Elizabeth Kane and Harold Clifford Gleason. When she was in high school in St. Paul, she loved acting. She even starred in a play called Once Upon a Mattress.
Her first acting job on screen was in 1982. It was for a TV show called Texas. After that, she appeared in many popular TV series.
