Mary Poppins, Goodbye (Russian: Мэри Поппинс, до свидания!; translit. Meri Poppins, do svidaniya) is a fun, two-part musical miniseries from the Soviet Union. It was directed by Leonid Kvinikhidze. This movie is quite long, about 141 minutes. It's split into two parts: "Lady Perfection" and "Week Ends on Wednesday". It's based on the famous Mary Poppins books by P. L. Travers. The film was made by Mosfilm and first shown on TV on January 8, 1984.

Story of the Film

The story takes place in 1980s London, England. At Number 17, Cherry Tree Lane, the Banks family needs a new nanny. They put an advertisement in the newspaper. Soon, a mysterious lady named Mary Poppins arrives at their door.

Mary Poppins has amazing magical powers. She takes the children, Jane and Michael, on many exciting and magical adventures.
