Oleg Pavlovich Tabakov (Russian: Олег Павлович Табаков; 17 August 1935 – 12 March 2018) was a very famous Soviet and Russian actor and theatre director. He was known for his amazing acting skills and for leading the Moscow Art Theatre. In 1988, he received the special title of People's Artist of the USSR, which is a high honor for artists in the Soviet Union.

Who Was Oleg Tabakov?
Oleg Tabakov was born in Saratov, a city in Russia, on August 17, 1935. His parents were both doctors. His family had a mix of backgrounds, including Russian and Polish roots.
Early Life and Family
During World War II, when he was a child, his father worked on a hospital train helping soldiers. His mother worked in a military hospital in the Ural Mountains. After the war, his parents separated. These early experiences shaped his life.
Oleg Tabakov's Theatre Journey
Oleg Tabakov loved the theatre. He studied at the famous Moscow Art Theatre School. After he finished school, he helped start a new theatre called the Sovremennik Theatre.
