Mary Wilson (born Gladys Mary Baldwin) was an English poet. She was married to Harold Wilson. He was the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom twice. Mary lived from January 12, 1916, to June 6, 2018.

Mary Wilson was born Gladys Mary Baldwin. Her birthday was January 12, 1916. She was born in a town called Diss in Norfolk, England.
She married Harold Wilson on January 1, 1940. Harold later became a very important politician. He served as the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. He was Prime Minister from 1964 to 1970 and again from 1974 to 1976.
A Life of Poetry
Mary Wilson was a talented poet. In 1970, she published a book of her poems. It was called Selected Poems.
She also helped choose the winner of a famous book award. In 1976, she was a judge for the Booker Prize. This prize is given to the best novel written in English.
Later Years
Mary Wilson lived a very long life. In 2013, when she was 97 years old, she attended a special event. She went to the funeral of another important leader, Margaret Thatcher.
