Football Journey
Masahiko Inoha started his football journey playing for his high school team, Kagoshima Jitsugyo High School. After high school, he went to Hannan University to continue his studies and play football. While at university, he was part of the Japan team that won a big football competition called the Universiade in Turkey.
Playing for Japanese Clubs
Inoha's great skills in university football caught the eye of coaches. He joined FC Tokyo, a professional club, and quickly became a regular player. He later moved to Kashima Antlers in 2008. There, he became a key player for Japan's Under-23 team.
International Career for Japan
Inoha was called up to the national team squad several times. He made his first full international appearance for Japan on January 17, 2011, against Saudi Arabia. He was part of the team that won the 2011 AFC Asian Cup. During a match against Qatar in that tournament, he scored an important goal in the 89th minute, helping Japan win 3–2. Overall, he played 21 matches for Japan and scored 1 goal.
Time in Croatia
In the summer of 2011, Inoha moved to Hajduk Split, a big club in Croatia. He scored one goal for them in a 3–0 win against Lučko. However, he found it hard to get used to life in Croatia. He mentioned that learning the language was difficult and there were no other Asian players on the team. He left the club in early 2012 and returned to Japan. He played 16 matches for Hajduk Split.
Return to Japan
After leaving Croatia, Masahiko Inoha signed with Vissel Kobe in early 2012. Later, he moved to Júbilo Iwata in January 2013. He played 25 matches and scored one goal in his first season with Iwata. After three seasons, he helped Júbilo Iwata get promoted to a higher league. He then signed with Vissel Kobe again in February 2016. He continued his career playing for Yokohama FC and Nankatsu SC.
