Playing as a Defender

In 1999, Ogawa moved to Cerezo Osaka. He played many matches that year. However, in 2000, he didn't get to play as much. So, in June 2000, he joined J2 League club Shonan Bellmare. He became a regular player there too.
In 2001, he moved to Mito HollyHock. He played many games in 2001 and became a regular player from 2002 onwards. In 2004, he joined Japan Football League club Thespa Kusatsu. He was a regular player for them. His team finished 3rd in 2004, which helped them get promoted to the J2 League.
From Player to Coach
In 2006, Ogawa moved to Regional Leagues club Zweigen Kanazawa. Here, he took on a special role: he was a "playing manager." This means he was both a player on the field and the coach of the team at the same time. He managed the club for one season.
In 2007, he moved to another Regional Leagues club, FC Osaka. Masaki Ogawa decided to retire from playing football at the end of the 2007 season.
