Masatoshi Matsuda (松田 正俊, Matsuda Masatoshi, born September 4, 1980) is a former Japanese football player. He was born in Chiba and played as a forward. Matsuda is known for his many goals throughout his career, especially with Blaublitz Akita. He retired from playing at the end of the 2013 season.

Playing Career Highlights
Masatoshi Matsuda started his professional football journey after finishing high school. He joined FC Tokyo in 1999. This club had just been promoted to the J2 League.
Early Career and Loan Moves
In August 1999, Matsuda moved to Yokohama FC on a loan. This club was part of the Japan Football League (JFL). He played many games as a forward. Yokohama FC won the league championship that year.
He returned to FC Tokyo in 2000. The club was promoted to the J1 League in 2000. However, Matsuda did not get to play much in J1. In September 2001, he went on loan again. This time, he joined Ventforet Kofu, a J2 club. He played in many matches there.
In 2002, he returned to FC Tokyo once more. Still, he found it hard to get playing time.
Moving to New Clubs
In 2003, Matsuda joined another J2 club, Montedio Yamagata. He scored several goals for them. However, he got injured in May and could not play for the rest of the 2003 season. In 2004, he played very little for the team.
In 2005, he moved to Kyoto Purple Sanga, another J2 club. Even though he did not play in many games, he scored 8 goals in 2005. His team was then promoted to the J1 League for the 2006 season.
Success with TDK and Tochigi SC
In 2007, Matsuda joined TDK, a club in the JFL. He became a regular player for them. He scored an impressive 18 goals that season.
In 2008, he moved to Tochigi SC, another JFL club. He played in many games there. His team was promoted to the J2 League in 2009.
Return to Blaublitz Akita and Retirement
In September 2009, Matsuda returned to TDK, which later became known as Blaublitz Akita. He continued to be a regular player. He scored many goals each season for them. In 2011, he was the top scorer in the league with 20 goals. Masatoshi Matsuda played for Blaublitz Akita until he retired at the end of the 2013 season.
Throughout his career, Masatoshi Matsuda played in 281 matches and scored 118 goals.
