Masayuki Ishikawa (Japanese: 石川 雅之, Hepburn: Ishikawa Masayuki, born 23 October 1974 in Sakai, Osaka Prefecture) is a super talented Japanese manga artist. He was born in Sakai, Osaka Prefecture. He's famous for creating awesome manga like Moyasimon: Tales of Agriculture and Maria the Virgin Witch. Guess what? Both of these cool stories were even turned into anime TV shows!

Discovering Masayuki Ishikawa's Manga Journey
Masayuki Ishikawa started his amazing journey as a manga artist in 1997. His very first story was a short one called Nippon Seifu Chokkatsu Kidō Sentai Kōmuin V. It appeared in a magazine called Bessatsu Young Magazine.
Early Success and Awards
Just two years later, in 1999, he won a special prize! He received the Tetsuya Chiba Award for his short story Kami no Sumu Yama. This story was later included in a collection called Hitokiri Ryōma.
Breakthrough with Moyasimon
His biggest success came in 2004 with the series Moyasimon: Tales of Agriculture. This manga was published in the Evening magazine. It became super popular with both readers and critics!
Moyasimon helped him win two major awards in 2008. He received the Kodansha Manga Award and the Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize. Later, in 2015, he also won the Seiun Award for the same series.
New Adventures in Manga
Since 2015, Masayuki Ishikawa has been working on a new series called Madowanai Hoshi. This story is published in the Morning magazine. It's set in a future world where climate change has changed everything. People have to live inside a special dome to survive!
