Mathis Olimb (born February 1, 1986) is a professional ice hockey player from Norway. He plays as a forward, which means he is usually on the attack trying to score goals. Currently, he plays for Vålerenga in Norway's top ice hockey league, the Fjordkraftligaen. His younger brother, Ken André Olimb, is also a professional ice hockey player.

Playing Career Highlights
Starting in Norway
Mathis Olimb began his professional hockey journey in 2002. He played for Vålerenga, the team he grew up with in Norway's GET-league. In the 2006–2007 season, he was one of the top players. He helped Vålerenga win the Norwegian national championship for the second time in a row.
Playing in Germany and Sweden
In 2007, Mathis moved to Germany to play for Augsburger Panther in the DEL. After two seasons there, he signed a two-year deal with Frölunda HC in Sweden's top league, the Elitserien, in 2009.
Time in North America
On June 17, 2010, Mathis signed a one-year contract with the Chicago Blackhawks of the NHL. He was sent to their minor league team, the Rockford IceHogs, in the AHL. He played for the IceHogs for the entire 2010–2011 season.
Return to Europe
After his time in North America, Olimb returned to Frölunda HC in Sweden. He played there until the end of the 2014–2015 season. In his last season with Frölunda, he also played in the Champions Hockey League. He scored eight goals and made 18 assists in 13 games. This great performance earned him the 2014–2015 Champions Hockey League MVP award.
In 2015, he joined Jokerit in the KHL. Later that year, he moved to the Kloten Flyers in Switzerland's NLA league. In April 2016, Mathis signed with Linköpings HC in Sweden. Here, he had the chance to play alongside his brother, Ken André Olimb.
In May 2019, after three seasons in Sweden, Olimb returned to Germany. He signed a two-year contract with Grizzlys Wolfsburg in the DEL. He later returned to his home team, Vålerenga, in Norway.
International Play
Mathis Olimb has proudly represented his home country, Norway, in many international ice hockey tournaments. He has played for the Norway men's national ice hockey team in several World Championships. He also competed in the Winter Olympics for Norway in 2010, 2014, and 2018.
