Where is Matlacha Isles-Matlacha Shores?

Matlacha Isles-Matlacha Shores is in the western part of Lee County. It sits on the east side of Matlacha Pass. This pass is a waterway that separates Pine Island and Little Pine Island from the mainland. The city of Cape Coral is just north of this community.

A road called Southwest Pine Island Road (County Road 78) goes through the area. If you go east on this road, you'll reach North Fort Myers in about 12 miles. If you go west, you'll cross Matlacha Pass to Little Pine Island.

The total area of Matlacha Isles-Matlacha Shores is about 1.22 square kilometers. More than half of this area, about 0.70 square kilometers, is water. The land area is about 0.52 square kilometers.
