Maughold Head is a very important spot on the Isle of Man. It is the most eastern part of the island. This means it's the closest point on the Isle of Man to England.
It is about 50 kilometers (31 miles) away from St Bees Head in Cumbria, England. Maughold Head is located in the northeast of the island. It is about 5 kilometers (3 miles) from the town of Ramsey. You can find it at the southern end of Ramsey Bay.
Maughold Head Lighthouse
At the very tip of Maughold Head, you will find the Maughold Head Lighthouse. This lighthouse was built a long time ago, in 1914. Lighthouses help ships find their way safely.
Even though no one lives there anymore, the lighthouse still works. It is looked after by the Northern Lighthouse Board. They make sure it keeps shining its light for ships.
