Maxlei dos Santos Luzia, known simply as Max, was a talented Brazilian goalkeeper. He was born on February 27, 1975, and sadly passed away on July 26, 2017. Max was known for his skills on the field and played for many different football clubs throughout his career. He was a familiar face in Brazilian football.

Max's Football Journey

Max started his football career in youth teams, learning the ropes of being a goalkeeper. He played for Portuguesa-RJ from 1993 to 1994. This was where he began to show his potential.

Playing for Different Clubs

After his youth years, Max moved to play for several professional clubs. He played for Portuguesa-RJ again from 1995 to 1998. Then he joined Bangu from 1999 to 2000. He also played for Friburguense and América-RJ in 2001.

Time at Botafogo

One of the most important parts of Max's career was his time at Botafogo. He played there from 2002 to 2008. During these years, he played in 85 matches. He even went on loan to Vila Nova in 2008, playing 17 games there.

Later Career

After Botafogo, Max continued to play for various teams. He joined Itumbiara in 2009. He returned to Vila Nova from 2009 to 2010, playing 52 matches. In 2011, he played for Joinville. He also played for Boa Esporte in 2012, Gama in 2013, and Barra da Tijuca in 2014.
