The Max and Ollie Lueddemann House is a special old home in Madras, Oregon, United States. It was finished in 1906, just four years after Madras was first planned out on a map. This house was once the home of Max Lueddemann (1873–1954), who owned newspapers and loved to promote his town.
Max Lueddemann lived here until 1909, when he moved to Portland. Even though he didn't stay in Madras for very long, his house is still important. It shows us what homes were like in Madras during its early days.

Even though Max Lueddemann only lived in Madras for a few years, he made a big impact. He was known as a great journalist. He was also a strong leader in business. Max worked hard to promote the growth of businesses and new buildings in the young town. People remembered his contributions even 45 years later, after he passed away.

Because of its history and unique design, the Max and Ollie Lueddemann House is officially recognized as an important place. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.
