Maya Tskitishvili (Georgian: მაია ცქიტიშვილი; born on June 2, 1974) is an important Georgian economist and politician. She served as the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure from 2018 to 2021. She worked in the governments led by Mamuka Bakhtadze and Giorgi Gakharia. For a short time, she was also the acting Prime Minister of Georgia after Giorgi Gakharia resigned.

Early Life and Education
Maya Tskitishvili was born in Tbilisi, which was then part of Soviet Georgia. She studied international economics at Tbilisi State University. She also continued her studies in International Trade at the University of Economics in Prague and at the Caucasian School of Business.
Career Before Politics
Before she became a minister, Maya Tskitishvili worked in the private sector. She was a manager and director in several companies, including Georgian Airways. She also served as the Head of the Chancellery of the Government, which is like being the chief of staff for the government.

Maya Tskitishvili held several important positions in the Georgian government.
Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure
From March 30, 2018, to February 18, 2021, she was the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure. In this role, she was in charge of building and improving roads, bridges, and other important structures across Georgia. She also worked on developing different regions of the country.
Deputy Prime Minister
She served as the Deputy Prime Minister of Georgia from July 17, 2018, to January 21, 2021. This role meant she was one of the top leaders in the government, helping the Prime Minister manage the country. From January 21, 2021, to February 18, 2021, she was the First Deputy Prime Minister, an even higher position.
Acting Prime Minister
In February 2021, when Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia resigned, Maya Tskitishvili briefly stepped in as the acting Prime Minister of Georgia. She held this role for a few days, from February 18 to February 22, 2021, until a new Prime Minister, Irakli Gharibashvili, was appointed.
